Soreti International Trading (SITCO), officially established in 2005 G.C., operates as a sole proprietorship founded by Mr. Bulbula Tule Dekebo and Mrs. Damma Sheko.
A Foundation Built on Vision and Excellence
Our company’s strength lies in the rich experience of its founders:
- Mr. Bulbula Tule Dekebo is a distinguished business leader whose vision laid the groundwork for Soreti. After earning his MSc in National Economic Planning (1989) and an MBA (2006) , he served the state-owned Agricultural Marketing Corporation before establishing the successful Hawas Agri Business PLC in 1994. His commitment earned him prestigious accolades, including two certificates of Outstanding Entrepreneur from the World Summit of Young Entrepreneurs and the World Quality Commitment Platinum Award in Paris.
- Mrs. Damma Sheko, the co-founder, brought a deep understanding of agricultural planning and management. Her strategic leadership has been crucial in coordinating Soreti’s complex import and export operations.
From Commodities to Cutting-Edge Mobility
Soreti was originally established with the objective of exporting various Ethiopian agricultural products, primarily pulses, oil seeds, and spices. Today, our mission has expanded dramatically:
- Export Excellence: We remain a leading exporter of premium commodities, including Anna Coffee, oilseeds, pulses, and spices. Notably, we now export high-quality products like Avocado Oil, ensuring it meets the stringent standards for European markets.
- Manufacturing & Assembly: We are actively involved in manufacturing and assembly, including vehicle assembly (such as EV Motors at Mojo) , edible oil production in Adama, and the mentioned avocado oil production at the Jimma Industrial Park.
- Importing the Future: We import capital goods, pharmaceuticals, and are pioneers in bringing electric vehicles (like the BYD, Wuling Minibus) to the local market.
This diversified approach, led by Mr. Bulbula, has not only created assets worth more than 30 million Birr but has also fostered high levels of appreciation and trust among customers—reflected in receiving up to 40% advance payment in export business.
