Job Title: Hotel Manager

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Hotel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hotel property in Adama. The ideal candidate will manage staff, coordinate department workflows, ensure top-tier guest satisfaction, and optimize revenue and operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with Ethiopian hospitality and labor regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Direct day-to-day operations across all departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage (F&B), Maintenance, and Security.
- Guest Experience: Uphold high standards of customer service, resolve escalated guest inquiries or complaints promptly, and implement strategies to drive repeat bookings.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, control operating costs, oversee procurement/inventory, and set pricing strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue.
- Staff Leadership: Supervise hiring, onboarding, continuous training, and performance evaluations for all hotel personnel.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure full adherence to local health, safety, sanitation, licensing, and labor laws within the Oromia Region and Ethiopia.
- Marketing & Local Partnerships: Develop promotional campaigns and build relationships with corporate clients, tour operators, and event planners traveling along the Addis–Adama corridor.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: BSc or MSc in Hotel Management, Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, or a closely related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of proven managerial/supervisory experience in the hotel or hospitality sector.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in Property Management Systems (PMS), POS software, and standard office tools.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Solid understanding of financial reporting, P&L management, and cost control.
- Languages: Fluency in Afaan Oromoo, Amharic and English is required; proficiency in other language is an advantage.
